Nutrition can impact mental well being and here are some the following reasons:
- Neuro transmitters are chemicals including Serotonin and GABA, which impact our mood and well being.
- To create these neuro transmitters b vitamins, zinc and protein are required.
- Diet would be a good starting point to address whether you are absorbing and eat the right foods to help boost well being
- Stress can deplete these nutrients, along with poor diet and sleep. Additionally, pharmaceutical drugs and genetic predispositions may also be a reason for lower absorption of these essential nutrients.
Foods recommended are:
Avocados, wild salmon, extra virgin olive oil, nuts/seeds, turkey, dark green leafy vegetables and sweet potato
Supplements recommended:
(If on medication always check with a Medical Practitioner )
- Zinc
- B2
- B6
- B12
- Fishoil
- Phosphatidyl Choline
Genetic Testing is now available specifically for nutrition and mental well being
